I love photography, I have a commitment to it and a love for the art. Every picture that is taken can be interpreted many different ways, and can have many meanings. I love searching for those meanings in a picture. I love creating those meanings in a picture as well. I do everything and if you check my pictures below you can see that. I would most definitely love to photograph your family, kids, seniors, wedding, engagements, bridals, baby....pretty much anything! ;) give me a call. ----->

Sorry...

....i've been gone for so long! I've been super busy with life. I haven't forgotten about photography. How could I?!

How do you, take a picture of something cute? Like freakin this!!! look below ;)

I had the opportunity,..... Hmm... I always say that when I start out my blogs. I guess it really doesn't matter, because only a few of you are reading this, by few, I mean two people. So for the sake of you two people. I'll start fresh.

Check this out! I was so excited to take my camera along to my cuute cuute cuute niece's dance performance. She dances for "Clayton Productions." Sad thing is I took so many pictures I haven't had time to go through all of them. While I go through them all. Enjoy the pictures of Kamryn at the Dance recital. Enjizzoy!

SLC Temple My Final Project

So we are having Photo Finals and this picture is due tomorrow, along with four others. We have to tell a story behind our pictures. As you may know, my beautiful wife and I were sealed in this Temple last September. We had got married a year before, civil marriage. I really wanted to express through a photograph the road it took to finally get to the Temple.. Our five year goal to be sealed in this Temple was finally true, it is the happiest day of my life. Everyone has their own goals in life and everyone has their own trials. I hope this picture expresses our trials. If you really want to know how we both feel about it. Take a deep look at this photograph. This is a very personal view into our lives. Enjoy.

Night Photography

I never really take the honest time to say "I need to photograph." Today I took the time out of my busy study filled day to photograph something....anything. I just wanted it to be therapy shooting.
I drove by a building that I had shot for an assignment. Now, I shot this assignment with little heart and really no interest. When I drove by this time, I knew I had to photograph it once more. This time I looked deeper into what I was studying and then I began to click the shutter. This is what I came out with. Enjoy.

Draper Temple

This is a post related to the Draper Temple. I found something interesting on another blog I am really not sure how I found it. I just did.

I was able to help out with the parking during the Draper Temple Open house. This was in January, it was a bit cold. Of course i'm in the middle. Looking as I do. This picture sort of means a lot to me, I think. I enjoyed helping out with the parking and I felt very honored to do it. I met some cool people. Reflecting back on that, it makes me think of all the work the early church members put into the gospel. Especially building Temples. This picture makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. Sorry this isn't a photo that I've taken. Rather, if you refer to the link. That is the man behind the camera. Anyway here i am. can you guess which one i am? Yeah, the huge one in the middle.

Blanding = Beautiful

Of all the years I have lived in Blanding, Utah. I have never taken the time to look up and see the sky, especially when its raining. I really regret taking moments like this for granted. As my wife and I took a moment out of our time spent in Blanding to see the local Dam. It stunned me to notice how much I have been missing. I know Blanding will forever be my home. I hope this picture captures what I saw and what I felt. Enjoy.

Photography

Everyone gets into photography for any number of reasons and or influences. If you are able and willing to devote the time to it, its an amazing art. Not saying that I devote my time and efforts more effectively than everyone else. I just know thats what it takes to learn photography: Time, effort and commitment.

Photography School, I am going to Salt Lake Community College to get a degree in photography. That doesn't mean I'm a better photographer than a person who hasn't. Again: time, effort and commitment. I feel that photo classes have enriched my love for the ART of photography. I don't think a person gets into photography just to be a wedding photographer, or at least they shouldn't. Honestly though, thats where the quick money is made. I love photography for other reasons. Expressions in someone's face. The love a person can show just through an expression. That is beautiful to me. I would love to enjoy a long career in Photojournalism, traveling around the world and taking pictures of life and lifestyles and the reality of human life. How amazing would that be. I love the story one picture can tell.

Unfortunately, photography is so hard to concrete a career in. Most people decide to never look beyond weddings, senior portraits, etc. However, I don't look down upon those types of photography. I love to shoot weddings and portraiture's of people. Its part of expressionistic life. I am just excited to explore that type of photography to a journalistic type. Which I hope comes through my photography. I love candid moments between two people. It doesn't matter who it is between.
I've always had a fascination with photography. I think my dads love for pictures really enforced that fascination. He has many books of photos he's taken over our lifetime. He was as amateur of a photographer as you would think. He just used photography and pictures to seal a moment in time. Something for him to reflect on later as we grew up. I am the same, but with more tools to help me express my vision of a great photo.

I don't shoot to make money. I shoot to artisticly capture those tender moments in sharp focus.:)

Why I photograph.....ever wonder?

One of the things I love about taking photography classes is, that I have become aware of what's around me.  I look at things differently, analyze scenes and people.  I love people, I love watching people go about their every day life.  Emotions, capturing that one perfect, split second that shows exactly what someone is feeling   That is beautiful to me.  Thats what led me to this photographer. James Nachtwey, he is a war photographer.  A very good one in fact.  He has become my favorite photographer.  I love every single one of his photos.  They capture what's most dearest to a person.  He is able to capture it in the expressions and how amazing is he that he also captures it in his subject's surroundings.  I can only dream I become as talented as him.  I know everyone that becomes a photographer doesn't want to just become a wedding/bridal/engagement and family portrait photographer.  Don't get me wrong, I love doing those things.  Its fun climatic and challenging.    Everyone who started photography wanted to become something beyond that.  I love photo journalism.  If I could I would.  ;) Here are some of James Pictures.  My favorites.
